Multiple Accident Involving 13 Cars As A Result Of Thick Smog Near New Delhi, India (VIDEO)

At least 13 vehicles were involved in a multiple-vehicle collision on the Yamuna Expressway due to thick smog in Greater Noida, some 30 kilometres (19 miles) from New Delhi, Wednesday.


The footage shows cars and a touristic bus piled up on the highway and two more vehicles crashing. Six people were reportedly injured in the pile-up.

Dense fog has been surrounding Delhi and its outskirts since Tuesday morning causing several car accidents.

The Indian Medical Association has declared a public health emergency in Delhi and all primary schools have been closed as of Tuesday morning.

Delhi has been struggling with severe air pollution for years, being one of the most polluted cities in the world.
