Is It True That Constable Samuel Njoroge Was Shot Dead? Find Out Here

A police officer attached to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s security detail shot and killed his girlfriend in a cyber cafe in Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD).

Constable Samuel Njoroge shot dead Anne Wanjohi on Sunday, September 17, after she allegedly rejected his marriage proposal.

According to reports, Njoroge arrived at the cyber cafe operated by Anne and asked to talk to her over their shaky relationship.

“He wanted to talk to her about their relationship because she had wanted to break up with him over the past two weeks. Anne was attending to a client but he insisted on talking to her. She said she was busy and needed to finish with the client,” a colleague said as quoted by Standard.

Njoroge left but returned minutes later and insisted on talking to her. When Anne refused, he drew his gun and shot her five times, killing her instantly.

The police constable then threatened to shoot cyber attendants and anyone who came close to him.

He then turned the gun on himself and shot himself severally. However, he did not die.

He was rushed to the Kenyatta National Hospital where he is in critical condition.

Anne’s sister said the two had known each other for three months and Njoroge had threatened to kill her if she turned down his marriage proposal.
