Gynaecologist Reveals What They’re Thinking About You When They Examine You

Few women really relish the thought of a trip to the gynae, important though these visits are.

Odds are, on these ever-so-slightly uncomfortable occasions, as you lie there, you may have found your mind wandering.

What should I have for tea? Should I have gone to the toilet before I left the house? Will this ever get any easier? Whatever did happen to Lord Lucan ?

Maybe you’ve even wondered what was going though their mind.

Well, wonder no further.

Getting together on confessional forum Whisper , several gynaecologists revealed what they’re thinking during an examination, and also shared some blush-inducing anecdotes.

“I’m a gynaecologist and I wish my patients wouldn’t be so shy with me just I’m I’m male,” admitted one.

Aware that many women get very nervous in the lead-up to an appointment, one OBGYN added: “I always try comfort my patients first. Some ladies stress for days before their visit.

“All I want is for them to leave thinking, ‘it wasn’t as bad as I thought.”

There’s a lot of job satisfaction to be add too, as one doctor said they felt “happy when I help women.”

But, there’s not a lot that gets past them either.

Nadia Sawalha controversially claims male gynaecologists are ‘weird’

The teens today are out of control,” was one observation.

And, by the way, “It seems like most younger women think that ‘pulling out’ is an effective form of contraception.”

As with any job, there are some pitfalls.

“One young lady farted right in my face,” admitted one doctor.

“As soon as girls find out what I do they don’t want to date me,” lamented another man.

This was echoed by another OBGYN, who added: “The look on people’s faces when I told them I’m becoming [one] is priceless.

“My job is pretty important for your heath. Stop acting like it’s a bad job to be.”

They also hate it when “people don’t care for themselves” and, reassuringly, hate going to the gynaecologist as much as you do.

So we all have that in common.
